Although the initial statement from Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing seemed positive, things have taken a turn for the worse for Jed Beaton. '14' confirmed on social media earlier today that he fractured his vertebrae at LaCapelle Marival and will not be racing at the Grand Prix of Patagonia-Argentina. The statement is below.
"So devastated to say I won't be lining up at Argentina, a crash yesterday at LaCapelle left me with a few fractures in my vertebrae. I will do my best to be back at GPs as fast as possible! Thanks to the whole team for support and all hard work through this whole off-season. We will be back soon."

Jed Beaton will be a force to be reckoned with aboard a Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing machine this year, even though he suffered a small setback at the final pre-season international earlier today. Beaton crashed in qualifying at LaCapelle Marival and opted to sit out the motos, as he was battered and bruised. A statement from Husqvarna indicated that no significant injuries were sustained though.
Joining Kjer-Olsen at the 2019 Lacapelle Marival International Motocross was his Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team partner Jed Beaton. Suffering a fall during the time practice session, the young Aussie decided to sit out the rest of the meeting. Avoiding any injuries, Jed will be back in action next week at the FIM MX2 World Championship season opener in Argentina.
Beaton made his debut in white at the Hawkstone International a week ago and ended up twelfth overall in the MX2 class. '14' enters the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship with two podium finishes to his name.
