Conrad Mewse was enjoying a positive time in the lengthy break that was bestowed upon the Grand Prix contingent, but that momentum came across down at a recent round of the Maxxis British Championship. Mewse crashed in turn two, immediately exited the track in need of medical attention and later spent time in hospital to get his wrist examined. Mewse has now spoken out for the first time since the incident.
"A big thank you to everyone who has taken the time to send me their best wishes… I had a little setback last Sunday at round three of the British Championship, which caused a wrist injury and has resulted in having surgery this Friday. Thank you for all of your support. It means a lot and I will be back in action as soon as I can."
Sixteenth is the position that Conrad Mewse currently occupies in the MX2 category in the 2019 FIM Motocross World Championship. A sixth in moto one at the Grand Prix of Great Britain was a season-best finish. There is currently no timeline on his recovery.
